During the past hour the mean UV Index recorded at King's Park was 8. The intensity of UV radiation was very high.
Tropical Cyclone Khanun will still keep some distance from Hong Kong today and will not affect local weather directly for the time being. Hong Kong will be dominated by the northeast monsoon today and it will be relatively windy offshore. Under the combined effect of Khanun and the monsoon, local weather will become cloudy with rain later on Saturday and it will deteriorate significantly on Sunday. People planning for outdoor activities should take note of the weather changes.
