During the past hour the mean UV Index recorded at King's Park was 2. The intensity of UV radiation was low.
The cold front now over the northern part of southern China will reach the coast of Guangdong on Monday (8 January). Under the influence of the intense winter monsoon behind the cold front, temperatures in Hong Kong will fall significantly during the day on Monday and will become cold at night. Temperatures in urban areas will drop to around 8 degrees on Tuesday with a couple of degrees lower in the New Territories. It will also be windy with a few rain patches. The cold weather is expected to persist for several days. Weather will improve on Wednesday.
