Here is the latest weather bulletin issued by the Hong Kong Observatory.

The weather was generally fine over the south China coastal areas today. Locally, it was sunny, and there was some haze in the afternoon. The weather will continue to be fine over the south China coastal areas tomorrow. Temperatures difference between day and night will be relatively large. Under the influence of a fresh easterly airstream, it will be cloudy with a few rain patches over the region in the following couple of days.

Weather forecast for Hong Kong (Wednesday, 17 Jan 2018)

Fine with some haze. The minimum temperature will be about 16 degrees in the urban areas in the morning, and a few degrees lower in the New Territories. Warm and dry during the day with a maximum temperature of about 24 degrees. Light to moderate northeasterly winds.

Outlook : Cloudier with a few rain patches in the following couple of days.

    Tropical Cyclone Warning

    At 040600 UTC, Tropical Depression Bolaven (1801) has weakened into an area of low pressure.

    No further warnings on this area of low pressure will be issued by the Hong Kong Observatory unless regeneration takes place.



    The Hong Kong Observatory's tropical cyclone warnings for shipping are issued about one and a half hours after the time of observation. They incorporate additional information derived from surface and upper-air data and may therefore be slightly different from the real-time satellite or radar-based positions given in the hourly bulletins for public.

    While the forecast positions and track indicate the most likely future path of the tropical cyclone, they may deviate from the actual path taken by the storm.
