Here is the latest weather bulletin issued by the Hong Kong Observatory.

The winter monsoon is bringing cold weather to southern China. Locally, temperatures over the territory generally fell to 12 degrees or below this morning.

At 5 a.m., Tropical Depression Sanba was centred about 1520 kilometres east-southeast of Manila. It is forecast to move west-northwest at about 25 kilometres per hour towards the southern part of the Philippines.

Weather forecast for today

Mainly fine and dry. Cold in the morning. The maximum temperature will be around 18 degrees during the day. Moderate north to northeasterly winds, fresh at times.

Outlook : Temperatures will rise progressively midweek this week. The weather will become humid and foggy and persist to the Lunar New Year.
