Though rainstorm warning has been cancelled, people should stay alert to the danger that may be brought about by river flooding.

Here is the latest weather bulletin issued by the Hong Kong Observatory.

A trough of low pressure is bringing showers and thunderstorms to the coast of Guangdong. Locally, more than 20 millimetres of rainfall were recorded at many places over the territory this morning, and rainfall even exceeded 30 millimetres over New Territories East and the urban areas.

Weather forecast for today

Cloudy with showers and squally thunderstorms. Showers will be heavy at times. The maximum temperature will be about 28 degrees. Moderate to fresh southwesterly winds.

Outlook : Still showery with a few thunderstorms in the next couple of days.
