Here is the latest weather bulletin issued by the Hong Kong Observatory.

A broad trough of low pressure is bringing thundery showers to the northern part of the South China Sea and the coast of Guangdong. Locally, more than 10 millimetres of rainfall were generally recorded over the territory this morning.

Weather forecast for today

Mainly cloudy with showers and a few squally thunderstorms. Showers will be heavier in some areas. Moderate to fresh east to southeasterly winds.

Outlook : Showers and squally thunderstorms during the weekend. Showers will ease off gradually early next week.
