At 4 p.m. at the Hong Kong Observatory the air temperature was 26 degrees Celsius and the relative humidity 93 per cent.
During the past hour the mean UV Index recorded at King's Park was 0.7. The intensity of UV radiation was low.

Gusts reaching 70 kilometres per hour or above may continue to affect Hong Kong.

Strong winds are expected from the east. People engaging in outdoor work or activities should be particularly aware of strong gusts. The public should beware of the possible danger brought by rough seas.

The Thunderstorm Warning has been issued. It will remain effective until 5:00 p.m. today. A few squally thunderstorms are expected to occur over Lantau.
The Strong Monsoon Signal has been issued.

Here is the latest weather bulletin issued by the Hong Kong Observatory.

A strong easterly airstream is affecting the south China coast. Meanwhile, a broad trough of low pressure is bringing showers to the coast of Guangdong and the northern part of the South China Sea. Locally, more than 40 millimetres of rainfall were recorded over many places in the afternoon.

Weather forecast for tonight and tomorrow

Cloudy with showers. A few squally thunderstorms at first. Showers will ease off during the day tomorrow and there will be sunny intervals. Temperatures will range between 26 and 30 degrees. Moderate to fresh easterly winds, strong offshore and on high ground at first.

Outlook : Sunny periods in the following couple of days.
