During the past hour the mean UV Index recorded at King's Park was 4. The intensity of UV radiation was moderate.

Warnings:
Storm force winds in south of Hong Kong and Shangchuan Dao. Gale force winds in Hong Kong adjacent waters. Strong winds in Nan'ao and Shanwei.

Weather Situation:
At 9 a.m., Tropical Storm Bebinca with maximum sustained winds of about 85 kilometres per hour near its centre was located near 20.9 degrees north, 113.8 degrees east. It is forecast to move northward, gradually edging closer to the Pearl River Delta region.

East to southeast force 6 to 7, becoming force 8.
Frequent heavy squally showers and thunderstorms.
Rough seas, becoming very rough seas.

Tropical Cyclone Warning Bulletin

Here is the latest Tropical Cyclone Warning Bulletin issued by the Hong Kong Observatory.

The Strong Wind Signal, No. 3 is in force.

This means that winds with mean speeds of 41 to 62 kilometres per hour are expected.

At 11 a.m., Tropical Storm Bebinca was estimated to be about 150 kilometres south-southwest of Hong Kong (near 21.0 degrees north 113.7 degrees east) and is forecast to move slowly northward, gradually edging closer to the Pearl River Estuary.

Tropical Cyclone Warning

At 140000 UTC, the tropical storm Bebinca (1816) with central pressure 984 hectopascals was centred within 60 nautical miles of two zero point eight degrees north (20.8 N) one one three point eight degrees east (113.8 E) and is forecast to move northward for the next 24 hours.

Maximum winds near the centre are estimated to be 45 knots.

Radius of over 33 knot winds 30 nautical miles.
Radius of over 2 metre waves 120 nautical miles over southern semicircle, 90 nautical miles elsewhere.

They incorporate additional information derived from surface and upper-air data and may therefore be slightly different from the real-time satellite or radar-based positions given in the hourly bulletins for public.

While the forecast positions and track indicate the most likely future path of the tropical cyclone, they may deviate from the actual path taken by the storm.
