Here is the latest weather bulletin issued by the Hong Kong Observatory.

The northeast monsoon is bringing generally fine weather to Guangdong.

At 5 a.m., Typhoon Kong-rey was centred about 380 kilometres south of Okinawa. It is forecast to move northwest at about 18 kilometres per hour towards the vicinity of the Ryukyu Islands.

Weather forecast for today

Fine. Very dry during the day with a maximum temperature of around 31 degrees. Light to moderate northerly winds.

Outlook : Fine and very dry for the rest of the week. The temperature difference will be rather large between day and night. Becoming cloudier early next week.

Warnings:
Strong winds in Nan'ao, Shanwei, south of Hong Kong and Shangchuan Dao.

Weather Situation:
The northeast monsoon is affecting the south China coastal waters.

At 5 a.m., Typhoon Kong-rey with maximum sustained winds of about 145 kilometres per hour near its centre was located near 22.8 degrees north, 127.8 degrees east. It is forecast to move northwest at about 18 kilometres per hour towards the vicinity of the Ryukyu Islands.

Moderate seas.

Nan'ao and Shanwei:
East to northeast force 6 to 7, becoming north force 6 to 7.
