The Earth, Ocean, and Atmospheric Science department is a diverse group of faculty, scientists, and students studying all aspects of the Earth environment. Our members are making cutting-edge discoveries about important environmental issues facing our state, country, and world. On any given day, you could find us analyzing the latest weather forecast models, measuring Florida water quality, tracking sea turtles, sampling deep-sea life from a ship or submarine, traveling to field sites in the Arctic or Antarctica, examining an extraterrestrial meteorite, or contemplating the ancient Earth.
