STORM FORCE WIND WARNING FOR SOUTH EASTERN AREA AND NORTH EASTERN AREA

SITUATION
At 0600 UTC Tropical Cyclone Seth was centred within 15 nautical miles of
 latitude twenty one decimal six south (21.6S)
 longitude one hundred and fifty seven decimal three east (157.3E)
Recent movement : east southeast at 8 knots
Maximum winds   : 45 knots
Central pressure: 988 hPa

AREA AFFECTED

Within 60 nautical miles in SE quadrant
  and within 150 nautical miles in SW quadrant
  and within 90 nautical miles in NW quadrant.

FORECAST
Maximum winds to 45 knots near the centre, increasing to 50 knots by 1800UTC 1
January.

Winds above 48 knots developing from 1800UTC 1 January
within 90 nautical miles in SE quadrant
  and within 60 nautical miles in SW quadrant
  and within 40 nautical miles in NW quadrant with very rough to high seas and
heavy swell.

Winds above 34 knots within 60 nautical miles in SE quadrant
  and within 150 nautical miles in SW quadrant
  and within 90 nautical miles in NW quadrant with very rough seas and moderate
swell grading to heavy swell south of the centre.
