GALE WARNING

Please be aware, wind gusts can be a further 40 percent stronger than the
averages given here, and maximum waves may be up to twice the height.

SITUATION
At 0000 UTC Ex-Tropical Cyclone Anika was centred within 20 nautical miles of
 latitude fifteen decimal six south (15.6S)
 longitude one hundred and twenty five decimal one east (125.1E) [over land]
Recent movement : southwest at 7 knots
Maximum winds   : 35 knots
Central pressure: 995 hPa

The system is expected to re-develop into a tropical cyclone when it moves over
water in the next 24 hours.

AREA AFFECTED
Within 70 nautical miles of the centre.

FORECAST
Maximum winds to 35 knots near the centre increasing to 40 knots by 0000 UTC 01
March.

Winds above 34 knots within 70 nautical miles in the northwestern quadrant,
extending to both northern quadrants after 1200 UTC 28 February, with rough
seas and moderate swell.
 
Forecast positions
At 1200 UTC 28 February: Within 50 nautical miles of 16.3 south 124.3 east
                        Central pressure 994 hPa.
                        Winds to 35 knots [over water].
At 0000 UTC 01 March: Within 55 nautical miles of 16.7 south 123.3 east
                        Central pressure 991 hPa.
                        Winds to 40 knots [over water].
