at 0057 UTC 2 MARCH 2022

GALE WARNING

Please be aware, wind gusts can be a further 40 percent stronger than the
averages given here, and maximum waves may be up to twice the height.

SITUATION
At 0000 UTC Ex-Tropical Cyclone Anika was centred within 25 nautical miles of
 latitude nineteen decimal zero south (19.0S)
 longitude one hundred and twenty one decimal three east (121.3E)
Recent movement : southwest at 8 knots
Maximum winds   : 35 knots
Central pressure: 993 hPa

The system is NOT expected re-develop into a tropical cyclone and will likely
cross the coast this afternoon or evening.

AREA AFFECTED
Within 30 nautical miles of the centre.

FORECAST
Maximum winds to 35 knots near the centre increasing to 40 knots from  0600 UTC
2 March.

Winds above 34 knots within 30 nautical miles in SW quadrant
  and within 20 nautical miles in SE quadrant by 0600 UTC 2 March, with rough
seas and moderate swell.

Forecast positions
At 1200 UTC 02 March: Within 45 nautical miles of 19.7 south 121.0 east
                        Central pressure 988 hPa.
                        Winds to 40 knots.
At 0000 UTC 03 March: Overland within 50 nautical miles of 21.0 south 121.4 east
                        Central pressure 994 hPa.
                        Winds to 30 knots.
