GALE WARNING

Please be aware, wind gusts can be a further 40 percent stronger than the
averages given here, and maximum waves may be up to twice the height.

SITUATION
At 0600 UTC Ex-Tropical Cyclone Anika was centred within 30 nautical miles of
 latitude nineteen decimal four south (19.4S)
 longitude one hundred and twenty decimal seven east (120.7E)
Recent movement : south at 4 knots
Maximum winds   : 40 knots
Central pressure: 986 hPa

The system could briefly re-develop into a tropical cyclone before crossing the
coast this evening.

AREA AFFECTED
Within 35 nautical miles of the centre.

FORECAST
Maximum winds to 40 knots near the centre easing to 30 knots by 1800 UTC 2
March.

Winds above 34 knots within 35 nautical miles in SW quadrant
  and within 20 nautical miles in SE quadrant
  and within 25 nautical miles in NW quadrant by 0900 UTC 2 March, with rough
seas and moderate swell.

Forecast positions
At 1800 UTC 02 March: Within 55 nautical miles of 20.5 south 121.1 east
                        Central pressure 990 hPa.
                        Winds to 30 knots.
At 0600 UTC 03 March: Overland within 65 nautical miles of 21.8 south 121.9 east
                        Central pressure 995 hPa.
                        Winds to 25 knots.
