Warnings WTIO20 and WTIO30 035/10 on the Moderate Tropical Storm HALIMA issued at 06UTC. Next warnings at 12 UTC.

TROPICAL WEATHER DISCUSSION:


The basin pattern is poorly defined and still countered by the presence of tropical storm HALIMA. The convective activity is mainly concentrated around the storm and in the slowing of the flow on the 10oS between 80 and 90oE.

Moderate Tropical Storm HALIMA :

Position at 0945Z UTC: 19.72S / 82.25E

Displacement : NNE 3kt

Maximum wind averaged over 10 min : 40kt

Central pressure estimate : 995 hPa

Elsewhere in the basin, there are no areas with cyclogenesis potential for the next 5 days.

There is no risk of another moderate tropical storm forming over the basin in the next 5 days.

NOTA BENE: The likelihood is an estimate of the chance of the genesis of a moderate tropical storm over the basin and within the next five days:
