At 6 a.m. at the Hong Kong Observatory the air temperature was 30 degrees Celsius and the relative humidity 61 per cent.
Tropical Cyclone Megi has made landfall near Quanzhou of Fujian. It will move inland and weaken rapidly. Chance of strong winds generally over Hong Kong is not high, but winds will be occasionally strong offshore and on high ground. The Observatory will continue to closely monitor any change of the track of Megi and its effect on local weather.
