At noon at the Hong Kong Observatory the air temperature was 29 degrees Celsius and the relative humidity 65 per cent.
During the past hour the mean UV Index recorded at King's Park was 5. The intensity of UV radiation was moderate.
Tropical Cyclone Sarika is moving across the central part of the South China Sea. According to the present forecast track, the Hong Kong Observatory will consider issuing the Standby Signal, No. 1 tonight. Under the combined effect of the northeast monsoon and Sarika in the next couple of days, it will be windier in the south China coast. The weather will also deteriorate with squally showers. The public should remain vigilant and take precautions as early as possible.
