Here is the latest weather bulletin issued by the Hong Kong Observatory.

A fresh easterly airstream affected the coastal areas of Guangdong yesterday. Locally, it was cloudy with one or two rain patches. It was misty at first. The easterly airstream is expected to be replaced by a mild maritime airstream today and tomorrow. It will be humid with fog over the coast of Guangdong.

Weather forecast for Hong Kong

Cloudy. There will be mist and one or two light rain patches in the morning and at night. Sunny intervals in the afternoon. Temperatures will range between 17 and 21 degrees. Moderate easterly winds, occasionally fresh at first.

Outlook : Humid and milder with fog on Monday. Becoming cool again in the following couple of days.

    1. From readings taken at various locations in Hong Kong during
the period 1987-2016, the background ambient gamma radiation
levels may vary between 0.06 and 0.30 microsievert per hour.

    2. The extent of health effects to a person as a result of
exposure to radiation is expressed by a physical quantity
called equivalent dose, in unit of sievert.  Protective
action may be required if there is an increase in the
ambient gamma dose rate above background such that the total
additional dose is expected to exceed 5000 microsieverts in
a relatively short period of time. For example, a dose of
5000 microsieverts may be reached when the ambient gamma
dose rate is 1000 microsieverts per hour (several thousand
times above background) and lasts for 5 hours.

    3. The readings of ambient gamma radiation level from
instrument are expressed in unit of gray, which is
numerically equal to the gamma dose expressed in sievert.
