At 9 p.m. at the Hong Kong Observatory the air temperature was 25 degrees Celsius and the relative humidity 98 per cent.
Bands of intense thundery showers now to the south of Hong Kong are gradually edging towards the coastal areas. It may affect Hong Kong Island, Lantau Island, and western part of the New Territories in the next couple of hours. Members of the public should be on the alert.
Though rainstorm warning has been cancelled, people should stay alert to the danger that may be brought about by river flooding.

The Thunderstorm Warning has been issued. It will remain effective until 10:30 p.m. today. A few squally thunderstorms are expected to occur over Hong Kong.
