At 11 a.m. at the Hong Kong Observatory the air temperature was 31 degrees Celsius and the relative humidity 81 per cent.
During the past hour the mean UV Index recorded at King's Park was 5. The intensity of UV radiation was moderate.
An area of thundery showers to the west of the Pearl River Estuary is moving eastwards, and may affect Hong Kong in the next couple of hours. Members of the public should be on the alert.
