Here is the latest weather bulletin issued by the Hong Kong Observatory.

A broad band of clouds covered the coast of Guangdong yesterday. Meanwhile, a rainband affected the northern part of the South China Sea. Locally, it was cloudy with one or two rain patches. Visibility was rather low in some areas at night. The broad band of clouds is expected to bring unsettled and rainy weather to southern China and the northern part of the South China Sea today and tomorrow. A cold front will reach the south China coast on Monday, it will become cold significantly over the region.

Weather forecast for Hong Kong

Cloudy with rather low visibility. There will be a few rain patches, with more rain later. Temperatures will range between 16 and 19 degrees. Fresh easterly winds, occasionally strong offshore.

Outlook : Rainy on Sunday. Temperatures dropping appreciably on Monday and becoming cold at night. The cold weather will persist until the latter part of next week.

An easterly airstream is affecting the south China coastal waters. Meanwhile, a rainband is affecting the region.

Area forecasts for the next 24 hours

Hong Kong Adjacent Waters:
East force 5 to 6, occasionally force 7.
Visibility rather low in some areas. A few rain patches. More rain later.
Moderate to rough seas.

Nan'ao, Shanwei and South of Hong Kong:
East force 6 to 7.
Rough seas.

Shangchuan Dao:
East force 5 to 6.
Moderate to rough seas.

Outlook for the next 48 hours
Easterly winds of force 5 to 6, becoming northerly winds of force 7 later.
