Here is the latest weather bulletin issued by the Hong Kong Observatory.

The weather is generally fine over the coastal areas of Guangdong. Locally, winds were light and there were haze today. The visibility over parts of the territory once fell below 5000 metres in the afternoon.

Weather forecast for tonight and tomorrow

Fine and hazy at first. The minimum temperature will be about 17 degrees in the urban areas, and a few degrees lower in the New Territories. Cloudy with one or two light rain patches later tomorrow. The maximum temperature will be around 23 degrees. Light winds at first, becoming moderate to fresh easterly winds.

Outlook : Mainly cloudy with a few rain patches in the following couple of days.

Tropical Cyclone Warning

At 040600 UTC, Tropical Depression Bolaven (1801) has weakened into an area of low pressure.

No further warnings on this area of low pressure will be issued by the Hong Kong Observatory unless regeneration takes place.




The Hong Kong Observatory's tropical cyclone warnings for shipping are issued about one and a half hours after the time of observation. They incorporate additional information derived from surface and upper-air data and may therefore be slightly different from the real-time satellite or radar-based positions given in the hourly bulletins for public.

While the forecast positions and track indicate the most likely future path of the tropical cyclone, they may deviate from the actual path taken by the storm.
