At 10 a.m. at the Hong Kong Observatory the air temperature was 23 degrees Celsius and the relative humidity 91 per cent.
During the past hour the mean UV Index recorded at King's Park was 0.5. The intensity of UV radiation was low.

An area of thundery showers associated with an upper-air disturbance is now affecting the waters to the south of Lantau Island. It may affect Hong Kong in the next couple of hours. Members of the public should be on the alert.

The Thunderstorm Warning has been issued. It will remain effective until 12:45 p.m. today. Isolated thunderstorms are expected to occur over Hong Kong.

A humid maritime airstream is affecting the coast of Guangdong. Besides, an upper-air disturbance is bringing showers and thunderstorms to the south China coast.

Weather forecast for today

Humid and foggy. Cloudy with a few showers and isolated thunderstorms during the day. Moderate south to southeasterly winds.

Outlook : Humid and foggy tomorrow. It will also be warm during the day. Becoming cool appreciably in the middle and latter parts of this week.
