At 7 p.m. at the Hong Kong Observatory the air temperature was 20 degrees Celsius and the relative humidity 82 per cent.

A cold front will reach the coast of Guangdong overnight tonight (Wednesday). Locally, it will become cool appreciably with a few rain patches tomorrow (Thursday). Temperatures in the urban areas will fall from about 19 degrees at midnight to a minimum of around 13 degrees, and a couple of degrees lower in the New Territories. Members of the public should be aware of the change in weather before going out tomorrow morning.

Weather forecast for tonight and tomorrow

Becoming cool appreciably. Temperatures in the urban areas will fall from about 19 degrees at midnight to a minimum of around 13 degrees tomorrow, and a couple of degrees lower in the New Territories. Mainly cloudy with a few rain patches tomorrow. Isolated thunderstorms in the morning. Moderate easterly winds, becoming fresh northerlies tomorrow, occasionally strong offshore.

Outlook : Fine and dry in the following few days. Cold morning on Friday.
