Here is the latest weather bulletin issued by the Hong Kong Observatory.

The easterly airstream affecting the south China coast is moderating gradually. Meanwhile, a broad band of clouds is covering the region.

At 8 a.m., Tropical Storm Jelawat was centred about 220 kilometres south-southwest of Yap. It is forecast to move west-northwest at about 15 kilometres per hour in the general direction of the seas east of the Philippines.

Weather forecast for today

Mainly cloudy. Sunny periods during the day. The maximum temperature will be about 25 degrees. Moderate east to northeasterly winds.

Outlook : Mainly fine in the next couple of days. Cloudier on Thursday.
