At noon at the Hong Kong Observatory the air temperature was 25 degrees Celsius and the relative humidity 88 per cent.
During the past hour the mean UV Index recorded at King's Park was 1. The intensity of UV radiation was low.

The Thunderstorm Warning has been issued. It will remain effective until 1:30 p.m. today. Isolated thunderstorms are expected to occur over Lantau, Southern Waters and Islands of Hong Kong.

A trough of low pressure is bringing showers to the coast of western Guangdong and the northern part of the South China Sea. Meanwhile, a strong easterly airstream is affecting the coastal areas of southeastern China.

Weather forecast for this afternoon and tonight

Cloudy with occasional showers. A few thunderstorms at first. Moderate to fresh easterly winds, occasionally strong offshore.

Outlook : Showers easing off in the next couple of days. Brighter over the weekend. Hot early next week.
