Here is the latest weather bulletin issued by the Hong Kong Observatory.

An anticyclone aloft is affecting southeastern China. Meanwhile, a southwesterly airstream is bringing showers to the coast of Guangdong.

At noon, Tropical Storm Jongdari was centred about 580 kilometres east-southeast of Shanghai. It is forecast to move southwest at about 12 kilometres per hour across the East China Sea in the general direction of the coast of Jiangsu to Zhejiang.

Weather forecast for this afternoon and tonight

Mainly cloudy. Very hot with sunny periods in the afternoon. There will be one or two showers and isolated thunderstorms at first. Moderate southwesterly winds.

Outlook : Sunny periods and a few showers in the next few days. It will be very hot during the day.

Weather Situation:
A southwesterly airstream is affecting the south China coastal waters.

At noon, Tropical Storm Jongdari with maximum sustained winds of about 65 kilometres per hour near its centre was located near 29.9 degrees north, 127.3 degrees east. It is forecast to move southwest at about 12 kilometres per hour across the East China Sea in the general direction of the coast of Jiangsu to Zhejiang.
