Here is the latest weather bulletin issued by the Hong Kong Observatory.

A broad trough of low pressure is bringing showers to the coast of Guangdong and the northern part of the South China Sea.

At 8 p.m., Severe Typhoon Soulik was centred about 690 kilometres southeast of Kagoshima. It is forecast to move west-northwest at about 20 kilometres per hour across the western North Pacific.

Weather forecast for tonight and tomorrow

Mainly cloudy with a few showers and squally thunderstorms. Showers will be heavier tonight and tomorrow morning. Sunny intervals in the afternoon. Temperatures will range between 26 and 30 degrees. Light winds.

Outlook : Sunny periods and a few showers in the following couple of days.
