Here is the latest weather bulletin issued by the Hong Kong Observatory.

Winds are light over the coast of Guangdong. A broad trough of low pressure is bringing showers to the northern part of the South China Sea.

At 8 a.m., Severe Typhoon Soulik was centred about 450 kilometres south-southeast of Kagoshima. It is forecast to move west-northwest at about 22 kilometres per hour towards the vicinity of the Ryukyu Islands.

Weather forecast for today

Sunny periods and relatively low visibility. A few showers. There will be isolated thunderstorms later. The maximum temperature will be about 31 degrees. Light winds.

Outlook : Sunny periods and a few showers in the next couple of days.
