During the past hour the mean UV Index recorded at King's Park was 3. The intensity of UV radiation was moderate.

Hot weather might cause adverse health effects. The Observatory advises the public to stay on the alert.

Here is the latest weather bulletin issued by the Hong Kong Observatory.

The convective activities triggered by high temperatures are bringing thundery showers to the coast of Guangdong. Meanwhile, the area of low pressure over the northeastern part of the South China Sea is bringing unsettled weather to the region.

At 4 p.m., Severe Typhoon Soulik was centred about 230 kilometres south of Jeju. It is forecast to move northwest at about 20 kilometres per hour towards the vicinity of the Korean Peninsula. Meanwhile, Severe Typhoon Cimaron was centred about 1000 kilometres southeast of Kagoshima. It is forecast to move northwest or north-northwest at about 32 kilometres per hour in the general direction of Japan.

Weather forecast for tonight and tomorrow

Becoming cloudy with a few showers and isolated thunderstorms. Sunny intervals tomorrow. Temperatures will range between 27 and 31 degrees. Light winds.

Outlook : Still some showers in the following few of days.
