Here is the latest weather bulletin issued by the Hong Kong Observatory.

Showers and thunderstorms are affecting the coast of Guangdong and the northern part of the South China Sea. Besides, the area of low pressure over the northeastern part of the South China Sea is bringing unsettled weather to the region.

Severe Typhoon Soulik has weakened into a typhoon. At 10 p.m., Soulik was centred about 170 kilometres south-southwest of Jeju. It is forecast to move north or north-northwest at about 12 kilometres per hour towards the vicinity of the Korean Peninsula. Meanwhile, Severe Typhoon Cimaron was centred about 780 kilometres southeast of Kagoshima. It is forecast to move north-northwest at about 32 kilometres per hour in the general direction of Japan.

Weather forecast for tonight and tomorrow

Mainly cloudy with occasional showers and a few thunderstorms. Sunny intervals tomorrow. Temperatures will range between 26 and 31 degrees. Light winds.

Outlook : Still some showers in the following few of days.

    The convective activities triggered by high temperatures are bringing thundery showers to the south China coastal waters. Meanwhile, the area of low pressure over the northeastern part of the South China Sea is bringing unsettled weather to the region.
