Winds are light and it is very hot over the coast of Guangdong. Locally, temperatures generally rose to 33 degrees or above in the afternoon.

Besides, the tropical depression over Fujian has weakened into an area of low pressure.

Weather forecast for tonight and tomorrow

Mainly cloudy with some haze. Sunny periods tomorrow. A few showers later. Temperatures will range between 27 and 32 degrees. Light to moderate westerly winds.

Outlook : Becoming more showery with thunderstorms in the following couple of days.

    Tropical Cyclone Warning

    At 250300 UTC, the tropical depression over Fujian with central pressure 996 hectopascals was centred within 60 nautical miles of two five point four degrees north (25.4 N) one one nine point three degrees east (119.3 E) and is forecast to move west at about 6 knots for the next 24 hours.

    Maximum winds near the centre are estimated to be 25 knots.

    Radius of over 2 metre waves 60 nautical miles.

    No further warnings on this Tropical Depression will be issued by the Hong Kong Observatory unless re-intensification takes place.

    Dissipated over land.



    The Hong Kong Observatory's tropical cyclone warnings for shipping are issued about one and a half hours after the time of observation. They incorporate additional information derived from surface and upper-air data and may therefore be slightly different from the real-time satellite or radar-based positions given in the hourly bulletins for public.

    While the forecast positions and track indicate the most likely future path of the tropical cyclone, they may deviate from the actual path taken by the storm.
