Here is the latest weather bulletin issued by the Hong Kong Observatory.

Winds were light over the coast of Guangdong and showers affected the region and the northern part of the South China Sea today. Locally, there were sunny intervals and also showers. Showers were heavy at night. More than 40 millimetres of rainfall were recorded at many places over the territory. An active southwesterly airstream is expected to affect the south China coast gradually in the next couple of days. There will be heavy showers and squally thunderstorms over the region midweek this week.

Weather forecast for Hong Kong (Monday, 27 Aug 2018)

Mainly cloudy with showers and a few thunderstorms. Showers will be heavy at first. Temperatures will range between 26 and 30 degrees. Light winds, becoming moderate southwesterlies later.

Outlook : Showers and squally thunderstorms in the following couple of days. Showers will be heavy at times.
