At noon at the Hong Kong Observatory the air temperature was 29 degrees Celsius and the relative humidity 80 per cent.
During the past hour the mean UV Index recorded at King's Park was 6. The intensity of UV radiation was high.

Widespread heavy rain may affect Hong Kong shortly. Members of the public should be on the alert.

Weather forecast for this afternoon and tonight

Mainly cloudy with occasional showers and a few squally thunderstorms. Showers will be heavy at times. Moderate south to southwesterly winds, occasionally fresh offshore.

Outlook : Heavy showers and squally thunderstorms in the next couple of days. Showers easing off gradually towards the weekend.
