At 4 p.m. at the Hong Kong Observatory the air temperature was 26 degrees Celsius and the relative humidity 93 per cent.
During the past hour the mean UV Index recorded at King's Park was 0.4. The intensity of UV radiation was low.

Though rainstorm warning has been cancelled, people should stay alert to the danger that may be brought about by river flooding.

The Thunderstorm Warning has been issued. It will remain effective until 7:00 p.m. today. A few squally thunderstorms are expected to occur over Hong Kong.

Here is the latest weather bulletin issued by the Hong Kong Observatory.

A trough of low pressure is bringing thundery showers to the coast of Guangdong and the northern part of the South China Sea. Locally, more than 30 millimetres of rainfall were recorded over most parts of the territory in the afternoon, and rainfall even exceeded 70 millimetres over the northern part of the New Territories.

Weather forecast for tonight and tomorrow

Cloudy to overcast with heavy showers and squally thunderstorms. Temperatures will range between 25 and 28 degrees. Moderate to fresh southwesterly winds, occasionally strong offshore and on high ground.

Outlook : Still heavy showers and squally thunderstorms on Thursday. Showers easing off gradually with sunny intervals in the following couple of days.
