Here is the latest weather bulletin issued by the Hong Kong Observatory.

A trough of low pressure brought thundery showers to the coast of Guangdong and the northern part of the South China Sea yesterday. Locally, it was mainly cloudy with heavy showers and a few squally thunderstorms. More than 70 millimetres of rainfall were recorded over many places. An active southwesterly airstream associated with a trough of low pressure is expected to bring heavy showers and squally thunderstorms to the south China coast today and tomorrow.

Weather forecast for Hong Kong (Wednesday, 29 Aug 2018)

Cloudy to overcast with heavy showers and squally thunderstorms. Temperatures will range between 25 and 28 degrees. Moderate to fresh south to southwesterly winds, occasionally strong offshore and on high ground.

Outlook : Still heavy showers and squally thunderstorms on Thursday. Showers easing off gradually with sunny intervals in the following couple of days.
