At 4 p.m. at the Hong Kong Observatory the air temperature was 27 degrees Celsius and the relative humidity 94 per cent.
During the past hour the mean UV Index recorded at King's Park was 0.2. The intensity of UV radiation was low.

Announcement on Localised Heavy Rain: More than 70 millimetres of rainfall were recorded in Tai Po District in the past 1 hour ending at 2:20 p.m. and may cause serious flooding.

Gusts reaching 70 kilometres per hour or above may continue to affect Hong Kong.

The Amber Rainstorm Warning Signal has been issued.
The Thunderstorm Warning has been issued. It will remain effective until 6:00 p.m. today. Squally thunderstorms are expected to occur over Hong Kong.

Here is the latest weather bulletin issued by the Hong Kong Observatory.

A trough of low pressure is bringing thundery showers to the coast of Guangdong and the northern part of the South China Sea. Locally, more than 30 millimetres of rainfall were recorded over many places in the New Territories in the afternoon, and rainfall even exceeded 80 millimetres over parts of Tai Po and Yuen Long.

Weather forecast for tonight and tomorrow

Cloudy with showers and squally thunderstorms. Showers will be heavy at times. Temperatures will range between 25 and 29 degrees. Moderate to fresh south to southwesterly winds, occasionally strong offshore at first.

Outlook : Showers easing off gradually with sunny intervals in the following couple of days.
