At 6 p.m. at the Hong Kong Observatory the air temperature was 27 degrees Celsius and the relative humidity 93 per cent.
During the past hour the mean UV Index recorded at King's Park was 0.0. The intensity of UV radiation was low.

Announcement on Localised Heavy Rain: More than 70 millimetres of rainfall were recorded in Tuen Mun District in the past 1 hour ending at 5:00 p.m. and may cause serious flooding.

The Thunderstorm Warning has been issued. It will remain effective until 9:00 p.m. today. Squally thunderstorms are expected to occur over Hong Kong.

Here is the latest weather bulletin issued by the Hong Kong Observatory.

A trough of low pressure is bringing thundery showers to the coast of Guangdong and the northern part of the South China Sea. Locally, heavy rain in the afternoon brought more than 100 millimetres of rainfall to parts of the New Territories.

Weather forecast for tonight and tomorrow

Cloudy with showers and squally thunderstorms. Showers will be heavy at times. Temperatures will range between 25 and 29 degrees. Moderate to fresh south to southwesterly winds, occasionally strong offshore at first.

Outlook : Showers easing off gradually with sunny intervals in the following couple of days.
