At 10 a.m. at the Hong Kong Observatory the air temperature was 28 degrees Celsius and the relative humidity 85 per cent.
During the past hour the mean UV Index recorded at King's Park was 0.7. The intensity of UV radiation was low.

Gusts reaching 70 kilometres per hour or above may affect Lantau and New Territories.

The Thunderstorm Warning has been issued. It will remain effective until 11:30 a.m. today. Isolated squally thunderstorms are expected to occur over Lantau and New Territories.

A trough of low pressure is bringing thundery showers to the coast of Guangdong and the northern part of the South China Sea.

Weather forecast for today

Cloudy with showers and squally thunderstorms. Showers will be heavy at times. Moderate to fresh south to southwesterly winds, occasionally strong offshore and on high ground at first.

Outlook : Showers easing off gradually with sunny intervals in the next couple of days.
