At noon at the Hong Kong Observatory the air temperature was 29 degrees Celsius and the relative humidity 85 per cent.
During the past hour the mean UV Index recorded at King's Park was 3. The intensity of UV radiation was moderate.

The area of intense thundery showers now over the vicinity of the Pearl River Estuary is moving eastwards. It may affect Hong Kong in the next couple of hours. Members of the public should be aware of the change in weather.

Gusts reaching 70 kilometres per hour or above may continue to affect Hong Kong.

The Thunderstorm Warning has been issued. It will remain effective until 1:30 p.m. today. Isolated squally thunderstorms are expected to occur over Hong Kong.
The Landslip Warning has been issued.

A trough of low pressure is bringing unsettled weather to the coast of Guangdong. An area of intense thundery showers is affecting the vicinity of the Pearl River Estuary.

Weather forecast for this afternoon and tonight

Cloudy with showers and squally thunderstorms. Showers will be heavy at times in the afternoon. Moderate to fresh southerly winds, occasionally strong offshore and on high ground at first.

Outlook : Still showery tomorrow. Sunny intervals over the weekend.
