At 11 a.m. at the Hong Kong Observatory the air temperature was 26 degrees Celsius and the relative humidity 93 per cent.
During the past hour the mean UV Index recorded at King's Park was 0.6. The intensity of UV radiation was low.

Widespread heavy rain may affect Hong Kong in a couple of hours. Members of the public should be on the alert.

Here is the latest weather bulletin issued by the Hong Kong Observatory.

A trough of low pressure is bringing showers and thunderstorms to the coastal areas of Guangdong.

At 10 a.m., Super Typhoon Jebi was centred about 1680 kilometres south of Osaka. It is forecast to move northwest at about 20 kilometres per hour across the western North Pacific.

Weather forecast for today

Mainly cloudy with showers. Showers will be heavy with thunderstorms at first. Moderate southerly winds.

Outlook : The weather will improve gradually in the next couple of days.
