At 3 p.m. at the Hong Kong Observatory the air temperature was 25 degrees Celsius and the relative humidity 94 per cent.
During the past hour the mean UV Index recorded at King's Park was 0.7. The intensity of UV radiation was low.

Though rainstorm warning has been cancelled, people should stay alert to the danger that may be brought about by river flooding.

The Thunderstorm Warning has been issued. It will remain effective until 5:15 p.m. today. Thunderstorms are expected to occur over Eastern Waters of Hong Kong, Southern Waters and Islands of Hong Kong.

Here is the latest weather bulletin issued by the Hong Kong Observatory.

A trough of low pressure is bringing showers and thunderstorms to the coastal areas of Guangdong. Locally, more than 30 millimetres of rainfall were recorded over many places in the past few hours, and rainfall even exceeded 70 millimetres over Cheung Chau.

At noon, Super Typhoon Jebi was centred about 1650 kilometres south of Osaka. It is forecast to move northwest at about 20 kilometres per hour across the western North Pacific.

Weather forecast for this afternoon and tonight

Mainly cloudy with occasional showers and isolated thunderstorms. Moderate southerly winds.

Outlook : Still a few showers tomorrow. Sunny periods in the following couple of days.
