Here is the latest weather bulletin issued by the Hong Kong Observatory.

An anticyclone aloft is covering southeastern China. Meanwhile, showers are affecting the northern part of the South China Sea.

At noon, Severe Typhoon Jebi was centred about 880 kilometres south-southwest of Osaka. It is forecast to move north-northwest at about 20 kilometres per hour towards Honshu, Japan.

Weather forecast for this afternoon and tonight

Mainly cloudy with a few showers. Isolated thunderstorms at first. Sunny periods in the afternoon. Light to moderate south to southwesterly winds.

Outlook : Sunny periods in the next couple of days. A few showers in the latter part of this week.
