At 10 a.m. at the Hong Kong Observatory the air temperature was 29 degrees Celsius and the relative humidity 80 per cent.
During the past hour the mean UV Index recorded at King's Park was 5. The intensity of UV radiation was moderate.

Hot weather might cause adverse health effects. The Observatory advises the public to stay on the alert.

Here is the latest weather bulletin issued by the Hong Kong Observatory.

An anticyclone aloft is bringing generally fine weather to the coastal areas of Guangdong.

At 10 a.m., Severe Typhoon Jebi was centred about 200 kilometres south-southwest of Osaka. It is forecast to move north-northeast at about 50 kilometres per hour across the vicinity of Shikoku to Honshu of Japan.

Weather forecast for today

Mainly fine and hot, apart from isolated showers in the afternoon. Light to moderate southwesterly winds.

Outlook : Sunny periods tomorrow. A few showers in the latter part of this week.
