At noon at the Hong Kong Observatory the air temperature was 31 degrees Celsius and the relative humidity 69 per cent.
During the past hour the mean UV Index recorded at King's Park was 9. The intensity of UV radiation was very high.

Hot weather might cause adverse health effects. The Observatory advises the public to stay on the alert.

Here is the latest weather bulletin issued by the Hong Kong Observatory.

An anticyclone aloft is bringing generally fine and hot weather to the coastal areas of Guangdong. Locally, temperatures over many places rose to about 32 degrees around noon.

At noon, Severe Typhoon Jebi was centred about 120 kilometres southwest of Osaka. It is forecast to move north-northeast at about 50 kilometres per hour across the vicinity of Shikoku to Honshu of Japan.

Weather forecast for this afternoon and tonight

Mainly fine and hot, apart from isolated showers in the afternoon. Light to moderate southwesterly winds.

Outlook : Sunny periods and a few showers in the next couple of days. Slightly cooler over the weekend.
