At 3 p.m. at the Hong Kong Observatory the air temperature was 32 degrees Celsius and the relative humidity 68 per cent.
During the past hour the mean UV Index recorded at King's Park was 7. The intensity of UV radiation was high.

Hot weather might cause adverse health effects. The Observatory advises the public to stay on the alert.

Here is the latest weather bulletin issued by the Hong Kong Observatory.

An anticyclone aloft is bringing generally fine and hot weather to the coastal areas of Guangdong.

Severe Typhoon Jebi has weakened into a typhoon. At 3 p.m., Jebi was centred about 140 kilometres north-northeast of Osaka. It is forecast to move north-northeast at about 60 kilometres per hour across Honshu of Japan towards the Sea of Japan.

Weather forecast for this afternoon and tonight

Mainly fine and hot, apart from isolated showers in the afternoon. Light to moderate southwesterly winds.

Outlook : Sunny periods and a few showers in the next couple of days. Slightly cooler over the weekend.
