At 1 p.m. at the Hong Kong Observatory the air temperature was 30 degrees Celsius and the relative humidity 80 per cent.
During the past hour the mean UV Index recorded at King's Park was 4. The intensity of UV radiation was moderate.

The Thunderstorm Warning has been issued. It will remain effective until 2:30 p.m. today. Isolated thunderstorms are expected to occur over New Territories.
The Very Hot Weather Warning is now in force. Very hot weather might cause adverse health effects. Members of the public should take care to avoid heatstroke.

Here is the latest weather bulletin issued by the Hong Kong Observatory.

Winds are weak over the coastal areas of Guangdong while showers are affecting the region. Locally, temperatures over many places rose to around 33 degrees around noon. Besides, an area of low pressure is bringing unsettled weather to the east of the Luzon Strait.

Weather forecast for this afternoon and tonight

Very hot with sunny periods and relatively low visibility. There will be a few showers and isolated thunderstorms. Light winds.

Outlook : Becoming cloudier gradually with a few showers in the next couple of days. Slightly cooler over the weekend.
