Here is the latest weather bulletin issued by the Hong Kong Observatory.

Winds were weak over the coastal areas of Guangdong yesterday. A cold front moved across southern China yesterday and brought thundery showers to the region. Locally, it was mainly cloudy with sunny intervals. There were a few showers and isolated thunderstorms. Convective activities triggered by high temperatures brought more than 20 millimetres of rainfall to North District. The northeast monsoon associated with the cold front is expected to bring slightly cooler weather to the region over the weekend.

Weather forecast for Hong Kong (Saturday, 8 Sep 2018)

Mainly cloudy with a few showers. Thunderstorms at first. It will be slightly cooler. Temperatures will range between 25 and 29 degrees. Moderate northeasterly winds.

Outlook : A few rain patches and slightly cooler weather on Sunday. Sunny intervals in the following couple of days.
