Here is the latest weather bulletin issued by the Hong Kong Observatory.

An easterly airstream is affecting the coastal areas of Guangdong. Meanwhile, pressure is rising over central China. A cold front is expect to form and reach the south China coast tomorrow night.

At 8 p.m., Super Typhoon Yutu was centred about 400 kilometres northwest of Guam. It is forecast to move west-northwest at about 18 kilometres per hour across the western North Pacific in the general direction of the seas east of Luzon.

Weather forecast for tonight and tomorrow

Mainly cloudy. Sunny periods tomorrow. Visibility relatively low in some areas. Temperatures will range between 24 and 28 degrees. Light winds, becoming moderate northerlies and there will be one or two rain patches tomorrow night.

Outlook : Winds strengthening from the north on Saturday. Fine and dry early next week, and cooler in the morning and at night.
