Here is the latest weather bulletin issued by the Hong Kong Observatory.

A cold front over the northern part of southern China is moving southwards. It is expected to reach the coastal areas tonight.

At 10 a.m., Super Typhoon Yutu was centred about 630 kilometres northwest of Guam. It is forecast to move west at about 22 kilometres per hour across the western North Pacific in the general direction of the seas east of Luzon.

Weather forecast for today

Fine apart from relatively low visibility in some areas. Becoming cloudy with one or two rain patches in the afternoon. Light winds, becoming moderate northerlies later.

Outlook : Winds strengthening from the north tomorrow. Fine and dry early next week, and cooler in the morning and at night.

A cold front over the northern part of southern China is moving southwards. It is expected to reach the south China coastal waters later.

East force 3 to 4, becoming north to northeast up to force 6 later.
Visibility relatively low in some areas. One or two rain patches later.
Slight to moderate seas, becoming rough later.

Nan'ao:

Moderate seas, becoming very rough later.

Shanwei:
East force 4 to 5, becoming north to northeast up to force 7 later.
